  37. Working at the computer at home on my own.

  38. Since this is a new concept, it would working on something in its' infancy. I enjoy woring on the computer and am a better communicator via the written word.

  39. Working regularly the way I want, anywhere I am.

  40. I think I would be good at researching, writting, I am new to web design, but I am willing to learn.

  41. I love going from site to site tracking down information. I spend a couple hours a day on the computer. It is my way to unwind. If I can do what I love and be of help to anyone, it would be great.

  42. independence, felxibility of schedule

  43. sexual abuse on young children.

  44. Being able to make a difference in someone else's day or even life.

  45. The ability to work at home. The fact that I can help while further improving my computer skill. The hope that thjis experience will lead to other opportunities to volunteer (non-virtually).

  46. online research

  47. The online research, develop web pages, develop online forms and interactive areas for the web site.

  48. One of the choices mentioned on your web site referred to writing articles. I believe I have some skill in expressing myself and in addressing the needs and interests of others. I would enjoy the opportunity to assist in this way.

  49. Working with volunteers. Helping to get the project established. PR. I also have "technical" skills if those are needed.

  50. not having to go out and finding a ride!

  51. The fact that I can volunteer from my own home since I do not have transportation on a regular basis

  52. DID NOT ANSWER

  53. Volenteering over the Internet....that that can be possible.

  54. to volunteer on-line

  55. The flexibility of completing the projects. During the year, my travel schedule can be heavy and this would provide me with the flexibility of completing projects without having to commit to a physical location in order to volunteer. I have a laptop and a modem which provides me with access to the Web and email whenever it is necessary.

  56. I work in a technical support position, and therefore have to communicate ideas and solutions to problems either through e-mail or on the phone. Working on the project would be in tune with my capabilities. I enjoy writing and doing research - both of which are available through the project. I have done HTML authoring when in grad school, and would welcome the excuse to do so again, especially in light of the really neat pages I see on the Web.

  57. Control over your own volunteer schedule, various internet-related projects.

  58. What interests me the most is that people are able to use their computer skills to benefit others throughout the country. Volunteering is usually thought of as something that requires transportation, but the ability to volunteer from home at my own convenience is definitely something I would appreciate.

  59. I need something to keep my mind on. I think this is a wonderful cause and I want to help.

  60. Writing and making web pages like mine, and doing things that require me to talk with people via the e-mail systems

  61. I love to serf the net and learn new things. There is so much out there to be found. Most people don't have the time or ability to spend the time needed to find pertinant information. I have that time and ability. I would like to make information accessible to all who want or need it by simply clicking on and going to one place.... instead of having to jump all over the place for several hours.

  62. My particular interests in this Project is being able to provide whatever help is needed for an agency.

  63. Being a part of something that helps people is what interests me most.

  64. I particularly like the idea of a central web site that can provide information on volunteer activities online and offline. Considering the amount of people that are connecting to the internet nowadays, and the potential for developing more widespread and informed volunteers because of this (no matter what their duties) makes your project an important step for any potential volunteer. Volunteering is a life affirming process, that is empowering for both the volunteer and those who benefit from their activities. To me, this project will help lay the way for future organizations to develop more effective networking strategies to attain their goals.

  67. I would like to carry out research assignments using the Web.

  68. The flexibility, especially the fact that I can volunteer without leaving the office.

  69. The opportunity to work from home via the Internet and e-mail are the biggest advantages to this Project, in my personal opinion. Because I have two small children, going out of the house and volunteering on a consistent basis isn't always possible; working from home is a wonderful option.

  70. What interests me most is the fact that I can stay at home and still volunteer my services to organizations that need them. I like to complete projects on my own and self-motivate myself.

  71. I have never volunteered through the Internet before, I see this as a different and interesting way to work. Being a French native and not speaking English fluently makes it more difficult for me to understand requirements verbally, using email as the main mean of communication would help me to understand a my own pace.

  72. That I can do this online and at a time that is most comfortable for me. Though, at the same time I am helping. Also, that not only will I be making a difference, I will also be doing something that I enjoy since this project sets people up with their interests.

This involves retired Air Force members, both officers and enlisted in performing a large series of task throughout the base.

  107. I just *like* it that there's a way for me to give to someone else something.

  108. I am very competent in the information technology and I feel that I can probably help out in this area. This project seems to be geared to that. I am interested in face to face volunteerism as well, but I thought this project may have some work that I could help out in right away.

  109. I work with computers everyday and spend a considerable amount of time on the Internet. It is good way to spend some of my time.
