  37. Improving my computer and office skills. I feel I can help someone with my journalism skills.

  38. I'd like to get a broader sense of what needs to be done and then maybe scale it down to help out my own community. I would hope that I could take assignments and get them done on time and well.

  39. It will be a good experience for me on how to work with people from other countries, and help.

  40. I hope to be a helpful participant with the Project to put myself in a position to give back some of what I have received from the on-line world. There is so much to offer and a lot to be gained by being an active participant. I love the networking with other people that is involved.

  41. I hope to gain knowledge as to how virtual volunteering works. Information on how to spread the word so other organizations could benefit. I hope to feel a sense of helping someone in need. I am a detail oriented person and I hope my work will benefit your Project by being complete and correct.

  42. I'd like to explore the opportunities of virtual volunteering and contribute meaningfully to community organizations.

  43. Maybe a sense that what happen to my family is going to help someone else. I strongly believe that things happen for a reason. If I can only help one mother feel better for just a couple of minutes than my pain and suffering that I went through has a reason.

  44. I hope to make people feel better about themselves and about what they are doing.

  45. Further improve my computer skills.

Gain an understanding the volunteer projects needed whicj will heighten my awareness of the social issues we face as a community.

Make (virtual) contacts with people and organizations that are catalysts for change. These people and organizations are ot will be the leaders of our communities. I hope to be one as well in the future.

I hope the project will benefit by getting the information they need in a timely manner and the audience form my ability to learn quickly and share what I've learned.

  46. Personal rewards.Maybe a little experience.

  47. The reason is basically stated above with the question of why do I want to volunteer with this project. I want to have a good feeling knowing that someone is getting the help they need so they can have a better life. I know that this is the least I can do since I have been blessed with many good things. I have had a few problems which have made me more aware of the need in the world and I received a lot of comfort knowing someone cared. I believe that this feeling of comfort is not an honor, but a right. If I can help at least one person, then I have successfully achieved my personal goal.

  48. I would hope that any contribution I am fortunate enough to be able to make through this Project would help motivate, enlighten, and encourage others to do the same in their own way.

  49. I would like to increase the general public's knowledge (with particular emphasis to the disabled community) of the opportunities available to them online.

  50. i am a volunteer for a lot of different organization, but this is kinda of volunteer and technology combined together and it sounds like a good way of spending my time.

  51. I need to earn three to six hours of volunteering with an organization and this one interests me. I believe I will gain the usual "good feelings" from this but also a bit of experience. I believe th project can benefit from my enthusiasm. I am willing to see things through and try anything that would help.

  52. No comment

  53. To learn how to do things better that will get me ready for the real world.

  54. want to feel i done something worthwhile, that he wanted the Project and audience to feel that he worked hard

  55. I hope to expand my skills and learn more about the volunteering process. I would like to be able to contribute to your program and the audiences it serves from a silent perspective. I work in a corporate world that is ego-driven, primarily and sometimes not all that genuine. My belief is that the best work goes on behind the scenes and doesn't always receive top billing. I believe that I can make contributions that will benefit organizations other than generating more revenue. These contributions are the ones that we make to society that don't necessarily result in money, but in personal gratification driven from the feeling of helping others and giving back.

  56. I have a couple of goals in mind. I hope that this opportunity will provide me with food for ideas that I will be able to implement here or take to other organizations. I don't believe one can ever stop learning, and the opportunity to perform research projects will give me the chance to broaden horizons. Lastly, for now, I hope that this will give me the opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life.

  57. A chance to show my creative side, enhance my writing skills as well as my computer skills.

  58. I would hope to gain the satisfaction of helping others. I would also hope to learn new web design techniques (through self-instruction) while I was volunteering my services. As far as how the Project and its clients would benefit from my work, my goal would be to assist the clients with their web development as much as I possibly could. I am very willing to learn new web design techniques and programming languages so that my skills would be of great benefit to one or more agencies. Another goal would be for the Project's staff to feel so comfortable with the work I have done for their clients that they would ask me to work on more assignments in the future.

  59. I hope to have something to "dig myself" into and I hope to learn and grow along the way.

  60. I hope to gain more respect for the working world and the people that have to do it for 8 hours a day, and I hope that you all gain a HARD working person to get the job DONE.

  61. I am aiming to accomplish personal satisfaction in knowing that through my own hard work I have contributed towards the effort of making the world a better place. Cliche as it might sound to some, I honestly believe that to get anything in life, or go anywhere personally, you must give to your fellow man. Knowledge is useless unless it is shared with others in a continual learning process.

  62. I want to help the Project to grow as much as possible..Get more people involved, make a difference...

  63. I do not hope to accomplish anything more than knowing I have contributed to communities in need.

  64. I find volunteer work empowering, and enriching. To me, what would be considered a mundane task for some, I've learned to realize is the backbone of most organizations. The big picture is what's important, and I feel that this project will be important for many years to come. I volunteered for the Self-Help Network of Kansas when I first attended Wichita State University, and eventually went on to work as the information office advisor. While I was there, I learned how to organize volunteers for various activities, and how to develop time-management strategies to complete projects. It was a very rewarding experience, and I helped to recruit some friends into volunteering as well.

  70. The main goal is of course to complete my community service requirements- but also to promote this service in anyway I can. I feel the Virtual Volunteer Project is a good program that could use all the help it can get. I feel that this is an invaluable resource for those who want to give back to the community that has given to them, but are physically unable- may not have transportation or other means to volunteer their help.

  72. Its a great feeling to volunteer and know that people appreciate your help. Also, I would get extra credit in school for volunteering and it would give me some experience on working with computers and the internet and working with people online.

  73. My benefits may be various. For example, I need to get some scientific literature, which I can not access in Ukraine. With regard to your benefits - you may use additional person, who has quite well basic education in several areas and is able for enough quick reaching of the necessary level.

  74. I would like to be of some help and to gain a better insight to virtual volunteering. I hope to be able provide whatever information is needed. The concept of virtual volunteering is one that had never occurred to me. I think it's a great idea.

  92. I'm sure that working as a volunteer,I'll gain a lot because my life will be more complete and I'll fell that I'm a better person.I love helping , I love children, and I'm sure that you'll find the best way to benefit from my work
