For six months in 2007, I worked in Kabul, Afghanistan, helping a
government ministry there with communications functions. While
there, I maintained a blog via a private Yahoo Group for friends
and family, and I cleaned up those blogs later for public
consumption and published them here in my web site.
Please remember that these blogs represent is my
experience in Afghanistan. These blogs may not represent YOUR
experiennce, or anyone else's.
These are personal accounts full of opinions -- it's not a series
of newspaper articles. I make no claims to being completely
accurate and I make NO claims to being impartial. There are
opinions here that you may disagree with, based on your own
knowledge and experience, and that's fine. In fact, I've changed
my opinions since writing these blogs - even I disagree now with
some of the viewpoints I express here in these blogs.
I hope I come from a place of honesty and sincerity in these
accounts, and I hope you will respect that this is merely one
foreigner's perspective about what she saw and experienced, and
that these capture a moment.
Also, note that ANY travel, and ANY activity, even
in your own home, incurs risk. The author assumes no

Finally: many links are broken. I wrote more than
100 blogs (or as I called them then, blawgs), and I just do not
have time to fix all the links. If you go to archive.org and cut and past
the URL of the link that's now broken, you may be able to find
it.
If you want to follow me on social
media, here are the links. Note that I don't just talk about
travel on these accounts.
If you have read anything on coyotebroad.com,
PLEASE let me know.
Comments are welcomed, and motivate me to keep writing --
without comments, I start to think I'm talking to cyberair.
I would welcome your support
for my work as well.
