Web Link Request Examples

 
These are two of the best link requests I've ever received. There's a sincere, personal touch in these emails that I really admire, and strive for in my own link requests.

The focus of the first e-mail is not obviously to ask me to link a page of mine to their site. Instead, it's information about why are linking to me, implying that my site has met some kind of high standard. And flattery will get you very far online... It also notes EXACTLY which page they are linking to, and which page they would like to have a link from.

 
Here's another excellent link request that is clear, sets a good, friendly, personal tone, and makes me want to go look at their site (and I am a TOUGH audience to urge to go look at a web site):
